Podere La Casaccia is an ancient rural nucleus, which still leaves the signs of the past peasant tradition still evident. Located on the hills of the Casentino Valley, at the foot of which the Arno river flows, the place is framed between the views of the medieval castles of Poppi and Romena, in the background of the Casentinesi Forest National Park which from Monte Falterona reaches the Sanctuary of Verna. The farm covers about 20 hectares of wooded area and the rest is intended for the certified organic cultivation of fruit trees, potatoes and vegetables, while the residential complex is made up of five buildings: one of these is now used as the residence of the Borghini family who own the complex. The geographical position makes the place very comfortable for isolation from traffic and noise; at the same time, however, it is easily accessible by car from the main urban centers of the Casentino.
